Youth Group

November 2018

posted Nov 2, 2018, 9:55 AM by Lee Church

There are lots of exciting things going on this fall with the youth group!  Last month we had our fall kick off at the home of Jim and Marianne Banks, with a group of 25 youth from our church and community.   We had fun going through the corn maze at Coppal house and then had a delicious pot luck dinner at the Banks home along with a toasty fire and s’mores.

October 2 we registered as a group of 25 for next summer’s mission trip to the Adirondacks.  Today that number was increased to 30.  Very exciting to see so many young people interested in serving others.   We are looking for 4-5 adult chaperones to join Krista Butts.  This is a fun trip and a great way to get to know some of the amazing young people in our community. :).   Below is the link to the area we will be serving the week of June 30th.

What a busy summer we have all had, with road trips, vacations, and of course mission work.  With all our hard work we have a fun day planned for the members of the youth group. Jim and Hillary Myers have generously, and courageously, offered to host a Youth Group Pool Party on Sunday, Sept 6th. After we all finish up at the 10:30 service, we would like to see everyone there, we will head directly to the Myers for swimming games and lunch.  We will email youth group members and parents on what we need for food and supplies.  During this pool party we will also be holding a youth group meeting to discuss our agenda for the next several months, youth members please come with some ideas as to activities, and fundraisers for the fall and winter months.

Auction Items Needed!

Now is a great time to start your spring cleaning—and as you round up gently used items you no longer need—please consider donating them to the youth group auction.

We are looking for donations from local business as well as homemade/service donations (a dozen cookies a month for a year?) as a wonderful way to support the effort.

Storage for donated items is available in the Parish House and Youth Room.

If you have any items you would like to
donate to the Auction please contact
Judy Belanger at 659-6923 or
Gilles Dionne at 312-2444.
