Youth Bell Choir:  I hope you have all heard our Youth Bell Choir play this year.  They have done an amazing job.  Playing with a limited number of ringers increases the difficulty, but our two choir members Elijah Mariacher and Josiah Mariacher met that challenge head on.  Thank you to Elijah and Josiah for your commitment to the choir.  Please think about encouraging your child or grandchild in grades 4 and up to join the choir starting in September.  Youth Bell Choir teaches children how to read music, and how to play as a part of a group; we would love to have more children join us.  We practice on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:00PM and play once a month in church.  No experience is required and you or your family does not have to be members of the church for your child to join. Look for the start-up announcement in the August Open Door.

SENIOR BELL CHOIRWhat an amazing year this has been for the Lee Church Senior Bell Choir.  We have had a record number of ringers come forward which has allowed us to play a wide variety of music.  We loved playing the upbeat piece Rock-a My Soul for the Music Jubilee; that piece was done entirely with mallets.  We were moved to tears this Palm Sunday when we played the deeply moving piece The Cross which was beautifully narrated by Jim Myers.  None of this would have been possible without our amazing ringers and our substitutes:  Lynda DuVall, Hayley Evans, Marian Kelsey, Georgia Kerns, Gail Kindberg, Linda MacKay, Barbara Mariacher, Faith Mariacher, Hope Mariacher, Shealyn Pare, Linda Reinhold, Rosemary Salkovitz, Phyllis White, and Richard Von Oeyen.  Thank you ringers for an amazing year!  What a blessing you are to this Church when you raise your bells in praise!!

THANK YOU:  Shealyn Pare and Hope Mariacher were in my very first Youth Bell Choir here at the Lee Church; they were in the 4th grade.  Little did I know that we would be ringing together right up through their senior year in high school. I am very proud of these two young women for their commitment to our music program.  We are so blessed to have had them ringing with us; thank you!  Hope is joining the Navy and Shealyn is off to UNH; best wishes to you both in your future
