Thank you to all who participated in this years ‘CROP Walk.  It was a lovely fall day and both human and canine friends enjoyed the outing.  We’ll let you know next month the final tally for donations.  If you haven’t donated and would like to there is still time! Just make sure you make your check out to CWS /CROP Walk.   CWS stands for Church World Service.

Our offering for Neighbors in Need will be collected November 24th, 2013.  Watch for information in your Sunday bulletin.  Neighbors in Need is a special offering of the UCC that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. One-third of NIN funds support the Council for American Indian Ministry (CAIM).  Two thirds of the offering is used by the UCC’s Justice and Witness Ministries (JWM) to support a variety of justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects through grants.

Neighbors in Need grants are awarded to churches and organizations doing justice work in their communities.  These grants fund projects whose work ranges from direct service to community organizing and advocacy to address systemic injustice.
