Fall has come upon us with the cool mornings and evenings. God has started to paint the trees with his many colors and the crisp air brings the excitement of another season. A time to enjoy apple picking, pumpkin carving and fall fairs with family and friends. Take some time to enjoy the season with your family.

Sunday school:

Sunday school started on Sunday, September 18, 2011. It was exciting to see all the children returning for a new year of Sunday school. If you have not yet registered your child, it is not too late. You can register them all year long. We do need a new registration form for each child in nursery through 8th grade. Thank you for all of you who made sure to complete forms the first Sunday. I really appreciate it. (Editor’s note: Forms are also available on the web site.)

Sunday school reminders:

1. Holding Sunday school every Sunday of the month.

First Sunday of the month, the 3rd through 8th grade children will start in their classrooms and return to church for Communion.

Secret Pals:

The reveal was held between services on September 18, 2011. It is wonderful to see the children learn who their secret pal was.

3rd Grade Bibles:

On Sunday, October 16th, all children in 3rd grade will receive their Bibles. If you have not received a letter regarding your child receiving a Bible or have an older youth who never received a Bible, please let me know.

Communion Class:

Communion class will held again this fall for 5th graders. We will be having a Seder during the second service on October 30th with Rabbi Samuel Seicol of Temple Israel in Dover, NH. On Saturday November 5th, the children will make the elements with Pastor Gail and myself and will help serve communion on Sunday, November 6th. If you do not receive a letter regarding Communion class and would like your child to participate, please let me know.

In God’s love,

Sheila Bennion ,
